This tour runs rain or shine. Umbrellas can be provided upon request.
Easy 900 metres of walking
Explore the heart of downtown Charlottetown Stroll along the historic waterfront and around famous Great George St. You will pass by many historic houses and converted warehouses. Along the way, your guide will tell you tales of prohibition and the crafty Islanders who skirted the laws.
The tour will end at the final location but the guide will provide directions back to the waterfront.
Pace yourself and know your limits We know you will enjoy yourself on this tour but we encourage you to consume wisely. The tour has been designed to leave gaps of time between stops. We have also included a share plate of french fries at one of the locations.

Paid parking is available in a lot located directly across from Peakes Quay. If your hotel is located in downtown Charlottetown we recommend walking to the start location.
Look for a guide in a green "Experience PEI" golf shirt or jacket. They will wait for you at the William Henry Pope statue (man in a boat) located next to the picnic area.
Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.
Yes, the majority of our tours are kid-friendly. We encourage children to join most of our tours and reduced pricing may be offered in some cases. We can substitute non-alcoholic beverages on food tours that stop at breweries.
Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%.
The tours are held rain, shine, or snow. We advise to check the weather conditions for your days event and dress appropriately. In the event of inclement weather, we will contact you to discuss options. We also provide umbrellas that can be borrowed for our walking tours.
