  • Spend a couple of hours on the ice jigging for white perch
  • You’ll be enthralled by stories from David Richards or his sons Kyle and Matthew
  • Learn all about the fish that abound in Island waters
  • Enjoy the delectable taste of white perch, breaded and fried, right on the ice

Bookings need to be made 72 hours in advance of the desired date in order to guarantee a spot.

Bring your own water or hot beverage in a reusable container.

Experience Provider will drive in a separate vehicle. Participants will drive their own vehicle(s).

A fishing licence ($10) is required for the experience and can be purchased at the meeting place.

Experience the thrill of hooking a White Perch.  They aren’t really big fish but they can put up quite a fight once you hook one.

Listen to great fishing stories.  David Richards and his sons have been fishing since they could walk and you’ll be amazed at the stories they tell.

We provide everything you’ll need.  We have the rods, reels, bait and lures.  Dress weather appropriate and in layers. If the weather is mild we will set up outside so we can spread out further, which betters our chances for catching our meal! If the weather is very cold and windy, we will be toasty warm in the hut!

PLEASE NOTE: Fishing license must be purchased at the start of the experience. Directions will be included with purchase confirmation.

Please meet David, Kyle or Matthew at Richards Bait & Tackle Shop. They’ll show the type of gear you’ll be using and then you’ll follow them to the ice fishing hut.
