Bookings need to be made 72 hours in advance of the desired date in order to guarantee a spot.
Bring your own water or hot beverage in a reusable container.
Experience Provider will drive in a separate vehicle. Participants will drive their own vehicle(s).
A fishing licence ($10) is required for the experience and can be purchased at the meeting place.
Experience the thrill of hooking a White Perch. They aren’t really big fish but they can put up quite a fight once you hook one.
Listen to great fishing stories. David Richards and his sons have been fishing since they could walk and you’ll be amazed at the stories they tell.
We provide everything you’ll need. We have the rods, reels, bait and lures. Dress weather appropriate and in layers. If the weather is mild we will set up outside so we can spread out further, which betters our chances for catching our meal! If the weather is very cold and windy, we will be toasty warm in the hut!
PLEASE NOTE: Fishing license must be purchased at the start of the experience. Directions will be included with purchase confirmation.
Please meet David, Kyle or Matthew at Richards Bait & Tackle Shop. They’ll show the type of gear you’ll be using and then you’ll follow them to the ice fishing hut.
Get DirectionsYes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.
Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%.
You should bring a camera to record each wonderful moment! We also recommend bringing a reusable bottle for drinking.
During spring and summer months, we recommend an application of sunscreen on exposed parts of the body and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. Umbrella’s are always a good idea to pack as well.
During fall and winter months, it’s important to wear and an extra layer of clothing and consider bringing a hat and gloves.
The tours are held rain, shine, or snow. We advise to check the weather conditions for your days event and dress appropriately. In the event of inclement weather, we will contact you to discuss options.
