There's not much Ben Smith likes more than sharing his passion for candle making with anyone who comes by his Enchanted Candle shop in Victoria-by-the-Sea.   

His candles are definitely one of a kind.  Each is hand carved...there are no two ever exactly alike....and of course making your own guarantees it will be particularly unique.

Ben describes his process as "a mysterious power of physics" allowing him to create blanks from hot wax fused with red sand from the Victoria shore.  You will get to carve your own design and pick the filler wax colour to create a candle that can be repeatedly refilled and last forever.....a continuous reminder of the great experience you had while on Prince Edward Island. 

The Enchanted Candles experience is available seven days a week at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.  Fee: $55.00 (plus GST) includes all materials necessary to create your own candle.

And if you're looking for a special food treat, you'll find the Seaview Takeout  right next door to the candle shop.  According to Ben, they have the best fish & chips on the Island.  (The fact that it's Ben's son-in-law who is the chef has nothing to do with the glowing review!)
